On February 13, 2015, in Bishkek, summed up the contest among regional mass media on the theme "Local budget belongs to the community".
The winners werer awarded in the process of the "round table": "Information field regions: distortion, communication gaps and breaks. The role of community media as a link between local government and traditional media".
The total number of applied materials for the contest was 160: 57 - press, 78 - Internet and 25 - broadcast media from 31 authors from all regions of Kyrgyzstan. This creative competition conducted by DPI in the framework of the Voice and Accountability Project (VAP), funded by the Swiss Government in partnership with the British Department for International Development. Materials were accepted in the period from June to November 2014 in order to motivate journalists to prepare for fair, objective, investigative journalism, reporting and analytical articles devoted to the local budget and the regional economy as a whole.
Prize pool was about 360 000 som.
Competition Commission has identified 16 winners on the number of points, which awarded diplomas and cash prizes.
