VAP has announced the launch of applications from the pilot municipalities for a grant
The total amount of grant funds should not exceed 400 000 Kyrgyz soms (KGS) with the condition of co-financing from the local budget at least 10% of the total project expenses.
Voice and Accountability Project funded by Government of Switzerland in cooperation with the Department for International Development of UK (VAP) and implemented by the Development Policy Institute (DPI) has announced the launch of applications from the pilot municipalities for a grant.
According to the VAP policy, the grant funds must be directed to the projects, improving their quality of life of the local communities. The projects’ ideas should conform to the priorities of the local community, identified in the process of PRA activities. They also must get the majority of votes at rural meetings to discuss the implementation of the Joint activities plan (JAP) and be prioritized in order to be co-financed by VAP.
The total amount of grant funds should not exceed 400 000 Kyrgyz soms (KGS) with the condition of co-financing from the local budget at least 10% of the total project expenses.
All project activities should be implemented by March 15, 2015 (about 2 months).
The grant funds cannot be used to purchase the office equipment – computer technology – due to the fact that earlier project provided all pilot municipalities with computer equipment.
Application form is available in Kyrgyz and Russian languages.
Applications must be given no later than February 10, 2015 at 44, Usenbaev Street, Bishkek.
